Some Mobile Discotheques of Note

Listed here are a few guys I know and trust to do a good job with a few words about them.

The Night - Great Sound and Good Effects Lighting from DJ Bezz and MC Flurry! Specialising in all things party and great soul sounds of the 60s - 90’s Give Bezz a call on 01332 741826

John Smith Entertainments - John runs a stable of good, reliable DJ’s who specialise in high class functions and upmarket events covering most of Derbyshire and South Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire. All of Johns DJ’s have been vetted personally by him and offer a quality service throughout, contact John on 01773 873619

Dave Elliott Disco2000@ntlworld.com Dave is a first class presenter and DJ, he also MC’s and is heavily involved with Castle Mead Radio, a thoroughly nice chap in the Leicester/Hinkley area, email him or call on 01455 442541.

Timbo - or Dr Keys Experience a keyboard vocalist with a technological smorgasbord of entertaining delights (no idea what that means but by heck it sounds good) his main problem is that he undercharges and gets working mens clubs when really he should be getting cabaret work. I’ve told him but.. see his web pages here http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/timsaddler/ or contact him here qverb3@tiscali.co.uk.

Stumbled across this great little ents locator might be of use to you but a couple of the links I tried were dead - still - worth a go! http://www.allthingsmusic.co.uk/index.php

Life is a Cabaret!

As indeed are these guys! I’ve worked with all of these and can recommend them 1000%

ollie-spencer3

Ollie Spencer

Quick and clean, lively and fresh. Ollie is a traditional stand up man with a difference, he’s funny!

Appeared on T.V’s The Comedians, worked with Tarrant on Tiswas and was in a gang with musicians Roy Wood and Jeff Lynne (he’s not a musician, he was a drummer)

Versatile and a truly nice guy!

Tony%20Wallace

Tony Wallace

What can I say about Tony Wallace?

NOTHING, I can’t get a word in!

Fast and Funny, Talented way beyond the requirements of television and a real showman’s showman. I’ve worked with Tony on 10 Gigs and never seen the same show twice. He makes his guitar sing and makes you cry laughing.

steve littlewood

the great pretender

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Steve Littlewood several times over the last 12 years and his current one man show in this fantastic Freddy Mercury tribute is nothing short of stunning.

In some ways it’s a pity because Steve has other talents too, an accomplished singer, a hilarious cabaret comedian and a versatile impressionist and if you could get him, he’d be a stunning after dinner speaker.

From the moment Steve enters the venue, he becomes, Freddie and seriously, from the second he hits the stage, YOU’LL believe that the magic still lives.

Live Music at it’s best!

A brace of top showbands I’ve worked with in the recent past, again, a hearty recommendation

Premier live Derby Band Groove 66's Bez Berry

groove 66

Stonking Pumping Soul music, crisp vocals and a depth of sound that the Commitments could have only wished for.

I worked with these guys on a playing field, sat atop a trailer, a venue typically enjoying the atmosphere of a gig on the moon and I can tell you, the whole place ROCKED. The band arrived early and prepared everything from scratch and when it came, the show was superb

They’re not cheap but they are excellent value for anyone’s money, and are, as the Commitments once claimed.. the hardest working band in show business.

Red Shed

What a night - five nutters who LOVE being party animals - fantastic sound system, good lighting but personalities bigger than the Red Shed itself. You’ll die laughing or die of embarrassment - but 99% of their gigs are repeats and recommendations so it’s all good.

With 3 tonnes of kit, 5 big personalities and 6 crates of beer - it’s a big show and a bigger after show party!

Stak it up!

Classy and sassy, versatile and vivacious.

Again, I was impressed by the sound and the turnout of these guys and a lady, arrived on time (early actually) and partied to the max, a hard act to follow but such pleasant guys that you really don’t mind.

I worked with them on a classy wedding and they made the night sooo special!

The Mucky Pups!

Really very good party band - more classic rock and party than soul but these guys filled the floor and gave us a great night. So good that they played effortlessly for 2 hours and left us with a hyped up crowd hungry for more - we played 40 minutes overtime just for the fun of it.

Vocals without attitude and real musicians playing a brilliant set - I’d pay to see these guys again!

Book them now whilst you can afford them!
